GeoFoundation Geotechnical Consultant (GGC) Inc. is a geotechnical engineering founded by Dr. George GongZuo Zhou and Mr. Joe Zhou. GGC provides engineering services to both civil and mining projects.
Dr. Zhou has 25 years of experience in geotechnical projects. His civil project experience includes foundation design for residential, commercial and heavy industrial buildings, slope stability analysis, retaining wall and soil anchor design, and design of seismic upgrades for existing infrastructure and ground improvement. His mining project experience includes the design of tailing dams, waste rock dumps, open pit slopes, and rock tunnels/shaft support.
Mr. Joe Zhou graduated from BCIT with Geotechnical and Mining background. He is good at field work for geotechnical site investigation and mining exploration.

Joe Zhou
Engineer (EIT)
Dr. Zhou has an extensive background in soil and rock mechanics with expertise in conventional analysis and numerical modelling, including liquefaction assessments and seismic retrofit. He is experienced with many commonly used commercially-available geotechnical software packages, including FLAC and Plaxis.
Joe Zhou also has working knowledge of rock mechanics with filed and lab testing experiance.
